: (1) A Grain Leveling Committee as follows (hereinafter referred to as the Committee in this paragraph) has been formed to carry out the work specified in the Act and this regulation:-
(a) Director General, Animal Development and Animal Health Department - Chairman (b) Chief Food Research Officer – Vice-Chairman
(c) Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Law and Justice - Member
(d) Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture - Member
(e) Senior officer of Nepal Quality Office under the Ministry of Industry - Member (f) Senior Veterinarian of Veterinary Hospital – Member
(G) Grain industry professionals nominated by the Ministry of Industry - Member
(h) Members engaged in animal husbandry business nominated by the Department of Animal Development and Animal Health (i) Public Analyst Member-Secretary under the Ministry of Agriculture (2) The term of office of the members nominated in accordance with sub-rule (1) clauses (g) and (h) shall be generally two years. However, the nominating ministry may re-nominate such a member after the expiry of that period or remove such a member before the expiry of the period.
(3) If more than half of the total number of members are present at the meeting of the committee, the quorum will be considered to be reached.
(4) The office of the committee will be at the location designated by the Government of Nepal.
(5) The members of the committee will receive the meeting allowance as determined by the Government of Nepal for participating in the meeting of the committee.
(6) Other procedures of the committee meeting can be arranged by the committee itself.
